We left Truckee, CA at about 10:30 this
morning.
Very beautiful country is that area.
About an hour from Truckee is
Lake Tahoe.
An absolutely gorgeous ski resort area.
The lake is deep blue/green and crystal clear. The pictures turned
out very good but they don't do the place justice.
After Lake Tahoe the terrain changed dramatically.
DESERT here we come. Nothing to see and
just straight boring desert area. So we drove and drove and drove.
Made it to Las Vegas about 7 pm and stayed
the night at the Santa Fe Station on the north side of Vegas.
To tired to do much gambling which was prolly
a good thing cause it was "REALLY BAD" at the casino
attatched to the Hotel.
Prime Rib was excellent tho.
